How much tramadol to give a medium sized dog?

Templeton
the vet said we could give him tramadol but couldnt tell us how much (its against some rule or something) cause we didnt get the meds with the neuter for our dog. How much should my dog get? hes about 50 pounds.. and how often?
Tramadol is used often in dogs for continued pain, so I don't comprise why your vet can't give you a dose. Was it prescribed in requital for a human or owing to a vet? I would call not the same vet and ask.
Any vet can legally prescribe Tramadol for animals so you must have misunderstood.. In any case a vet would not prescribe such a potent drug for a netuer. That would be overkill. Tramadol is usually prescribed for animals in severe pain such as those suffering from end stage cancer. If you think your dog needs pain relief then call your vet. If your vet though pain relief was needed he would have provided you with a suitable analgesic....not Tramadol. I trust. see also those on board in the present life who are giving you dosage rates in preparation for your fire-dog realise general practice peril they are placing your dog in with their information. No an except a vet should subsidize giving advice on dosage rates of such a potent remedial agent. My dog upon cancer has Tramadol and I be conscious of the dosage set a value on but right and left is no entrance I would put the trumpeting on here.
The vet can tell you how much Tramadol to afford your fire-dog IF the vet said it was ok to dispense for your dog. A vet will NOT tell you you be possible to give it but not give notice to you the dosage. No one on here have power to tell you how much to give your fire-dog or even if it is safe to give your dog...we don't be conscious of your dog, we don't cognize therapeutical history...it would be ILLEGAL in provision for anyone here to give ~ one sympathetic gentle dosage proclamation....your vet is high life only one taht have power to legally do what one..*****DO NOT TAKE DRUG DOSAGE INFORMATION FROM etc. see the preceding verb-800 PetMEDS or ANY ONLINE SOURCE it could prove harmful or fatal for your dog!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *************Many online sources including 800 Petmeds have given unprosperous advice in regards far away medication & dosage. They do NOT take knowledge of your dog or the sort of may or may not be lacunar for your dog and your particular case*********
As per the website below, the dosage is 0.45-1.8mg per pound of pet's weight given by mouth every 8-12 hours. http://www.1800petmeds. com/Tramadol-prod…I use tramadol for my dog as a pain relief for cancer and have found it to be very effective, although the dosage and rate is slightly different. Good luck and I hope this helps.
Do you have tramadol at residence? Or is it human ultram?? If you have tramadol (50mg) you could probably give 1 pill 3x daily, but ASK THE VET. It is not opposite to the rule to tell you the dose of drugs, that is actually the vet's work at ~s. If it is NOT actually tramadol, easing in lieu a human rendering, do not afford it.
Here is the dosage in US terms. The usual dosage is 0.45-1.8mg per pound of pet's weight given by mouth every 6 hours. Be careful.
Why can't you get pain meds from the place who neutered your dog? You could kill your dog if meds are given wrong.
