Is tramadol a controlled substance in alabama now?

Delmar
It is a controlled substance in Arkansas only. It has been cleverly called "non-narcotic" by most of the medical world, yet it is a synthetic opiate, or opioid which is starting to cause concern. I have to agree with the last answer, according to a few sites it is clearly called a narcotic, but the official word on this drug, which I am prescribed and I enjoy, is that it is synthetic and non-narcotic. I live 40 minutes from the Alabama border and right know it is in the works to be considered a controlled substance. They are really trying to deal with the meth epidemic at this point though.
